Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roofs take 1–3 days, depending on size, pitch, number of layers to remove, and weather conditions.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — we provide free, no-obligation quotes that include materials, labour, disposal, and warranty.
What roofing materials do you install?
Options include:
Asphalt shingles (most popular, cost-effective)
Metal roofing
Flat roof systems (TPO, EPDM, Mod-Bit)
Synthetic / composite shingles
Do I need to be home during the roofing work?
No. As long as the crew has access to the property, you can be away. Roofing is noisy indoors, so many customers prefer to be out.
What will you do to protect my property?
Professional roofers use:
tarps and plywood for gardens/siding
magnetic sweep for nails
protection boards for driveways
cleanup crews at the end of each day
What is ice & water shield? Do I need it?
Ice & water shield is a waterproof membrane. In Canada, code typically requires at least 3 ft at the eaves. More may be needed in valleys or low-slope areas.
How do I know if I need a new roof or just repairs?
Signs you need a replacement:
curling or missing shingles
granules in gutters
water stains inside
sagging roof deck
roof age over 20–25 years
We will inspect before recommending replacement.
What happens if it rains during installation?
We will cover exposed areas with tarps and waterproof membranes. Work stops until conditions are safe.
Do you check attic ventilation?
Yes — proper ventilation and insulation protect your roof and can extend shingle life. Many leaks are caused by poor ventilation, not the shingles.
